Sometimes the hardest things to say are the ones that don't come easily in a second language. I'm Ricardo Martins, a CRPO Registered Psychotherapist, and I offer relational, trauma-oriented therapy in Spanish — a space where you can speak freely, in the language that feels most like home.

Therapy in your own language

For many people in the Latin American and Spanish-speaking community, life in a new country asks you to constantly translate yourself. In therapy, you shouldn't have to. Working in Spanish lets you focus on what matters — what you feel, what you carry, what you hope for — without the extra work of finding the right words in English.

Who I work with

I support Spanish-speaking immigrants, newcomers, and members of the Latino and LGBTQ+ communities facing anxiety, trauma, grief, cultural adjustment, identity questions, and relationship challenges. The feeling of living between two cultures is one I take seriously and understand well.

How I work

My work is relational, integrative, and body-aware. Trained at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and in intersubjective self-psychology, I blend approaches to fit each person, with particular care around trauma and difficult life experiences. You set the pace; I walk alongside you.

In-person and online

Sessions are available in person in Toronto and securely online across Ontario, making it easier to find support that fits your life.
